How to repair an inflatable bounce house
Bounce houses, also called moonwalks, are a lot of fun for kids' parties and an excellent promotional tool for businesses. You can easily rent one, but if you use them often, you may want to buy one, and that's a big investment--often well over $1200 as of 2012. You should know how to fix your bounce house if it develops a tear or puncture.
If your bounce house is broken do you know how to repair it? Now i tell you how to do it.
step:
1: Keep the bounce house inflated so the damaged area is smooth. Clean the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol. Let it dry.
2: With some bounce houses such as the ones with visible cross-weaving, the tear can be sewn up with strong thread. If the material is smooth, don't do the repair this way. The material around the original tear will pull apart, causing an even bigger hole.
3: You'll need to patch a smooth vinyl bounce house. Many manufacturers include a patch kit in the same colors as your bounce house so you can make an invisible repair. If not, you can purchase a wet/dry vinyl repair kit at any pool supply store.
4: Cut a circular patch a little bigger than the tear. Apply a thin layer of the provided vinyl repair glue to the area around the tear on the bounce house.
5: Apply the same glue to the back of the patch. Stick it on, smooth it over, and let it dry for 2 hours before using or deflating the bounce house.
